Australians celebrate our national day

Whether you’re playing cricket on the beach, relaxing at home or having a BBQ, Australia Day is always a great day to be with family and friends and celebrating this great country of ours. It the wake of recent events, this years Australia Day gave many Aussies the chance to celebrate and put those tragic events behind them.  We acknowledge amazing people for their outstanding work in our community and this year was no exception, with the Australian of the Year going to courageous mum , Rosie Batty.

It wouldn’t be Australia Day without sport , unfortunately the cricket was rained out but at least the tennis has many Aussies hooked, with the rise of Nick Kyrgios, lets hope he can continue on with his winning form.

It also means the kids are about to go back to school!   No more hearing the kids fighting or complaining or trying to figure out what to do for the day.  Happy Australia Day
